Fantastic opportunity!

I just started the Associate of Science in Computer Science and I'm loving it! The fact that it's tuition-free is amazing. I also received an assessment fee grant, which made it even easier to start. The instructors have been very supportive, and the online platform is easy to navigate. I'm so glad I found this university. I will absolutely continue my studies here and recommend it to anyone looking for quality higher education without the huge debt!

Great value, worth it

I was looking for an affordable way to get my degree and found UoPeople. I applied for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I got an application fee waiver through a webinar, which saved me $60 right away. The assessment fees are manageable, especially compared to other universities. It feels like a smart investment for my future without breaking the bank.

Good education, some hiccups

I enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program. The online learning model is flexible, which is great because I work full-time. The course material for the General Education courses has been pretty solid so far. I did have a small issue with understanding the payment process for assessment fees initially, and it took a couple of emails to customer service to get a clear answer. Overall, it's a good education for the cost, but the administrative side could be a bit smoother.

I'm looking at the Computer Science degree, but I already have a bunch of college credits. Can I transfer them in?

L Linda Phillips 3 weeks ago
I think so, they have a transfer credit policy. You'd have to send in your transcripts for evaluation.

Yeah, I transferred some general ed stuff from my local community college. Just make sure the courses align with their curriculum.

Does anyone know if employers actually recognize degrees from UoPeople? Like, is it seen as credible?

J Julia G. 1 week ago
It's accredited, so it's a real degree. Whether an employer 'recognizes' it really depends on the employer, same as any other school.

My company definitely did. They were more interested in my skills and what I learned, not just the name of the university. Plus, being accredited helps a lot.

Hey guys, is UoPeople really legit with the whole 'tuition-free' thing? Feels kinda too good to be true, you know?

K Kevin Garcia 2 weeks ago
Yeah, it's legit. You don't pay tuition, but there are assessment fees. So not totally free, but still way cheaper than pretty much anywhere else.

Can confirm, been going there for a bit now. No tuition bills, just those per-course assessment fees. It adds up, but it's manageable compared to a traditional university.

Thinking of applying for the MBA, but wondering about the application fee. Are there ways to get that waived?

K Kevin A. 2 weeks ago
I got mine waived after attending one of their webinars. They usually drop a code at the end for people who stick around.

Check their social media sometimes too, or if you apply through a specific partner, sometimes that waives it. I just kept an eye out.

What's the deal with scholarships? Is it possible to get full ride and not pay anything at all?

A Ashley Thompson 1 month ago
Yep, full scholarships are a thing, but they're usually need-based. You have to apply for them and show your financial situation.

My friend got one, covers all the assessment fees. Definitely worth applying if you qualify. It's not automatic though, gotta fill out the forms.
